During the last few months, I've been keeping in touch with my friends, sending them handmade cards. Today's card features a digi image from the Queen herself, Sandra Caldwell. It's called Puppy and Kitty Friends, and I used colored pencils to give them their colors. I inherited a bag full of paper flowers, so I went wild with them on my card. Our dog, Wilson, loves to stop and sniff the flowers. His favorite is to walk headfirst through the dandelions that have gone to seed, where just a slight breeze sends the tiny light seeds floating through the air (except those that get stuck on Wilson's face).
Sandra's image showcases the widely different match-ups when it comes to friendships. Some people's personalities go together like coffee and donuts; others have people wondering, "how the heck did that happen?".While working at a local church, my co-worker and I were (and still are) total opposites. I never would have believed back then that we would become the best of friends, our relationship lasting through work conflicts, job loss and personal tragedies. Go figure!!

Getting Kraft-y at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog
Welcome to a new challenge at Scribbles Designs! This month the theme is to us KRAFT PAPER. I'm not a fan of Kraft paper, but I dug deep in my paper stash and found a piece of Kraft paper with a wood-grain design. I felt more at ease. Besides, themes are meant to challenge a person...
Anyway, I used 2 images from the Scribbles Store. They are called F#08 Acorn (a Freebie) and F#93 Nut and Bolt (another freebie). I only used the nut, because, well, read the sentiment on my card! LOL
This is a fun friendship card (or anniversary card) for any couple. It's for a friend who needs some cheering up. I'm seeing her this week, so I won't have to mail it. After coloring the 2 nuts, I popped them onto a piece of Kraft paper, framing them first with a black paper doily. I drew on faces myself, as well as their hands holding. And yes, the sentiment is supposed to be tilted, just like our friendship!
I embellished simply with a couple banner stickers and my card is finished. Are you inspired to create something with Kraft paper? Whether you make something with the theme or not, Scribbles Designs challenge blog would love to see your projects. Link up at the main blog for your chance to win awesome images at the Scribbles Store!

Walking the Path of Positivity with Friends
Halfway through the month and I have another DT make for the Path of Positivity Challenge blog. Walking through life is hard when you're alone, so be open to making and keeping good friends. They way to do this is to BE a good friend.
My card above shows three best friends. They grew up together and are still very close. They are, in fact, sisters. My sisters! People say you can't choose your family, but I'm happy to say you can become best friends with them, as I have with Kathy, who lives in Germany now, and Dee, who lives just a ten minute walk from my house.
I went kind of crazy with my leftover pieces of papers and bits of embellishments, but when the three of us get together, it's crazy fun, so the colors and design of my card truly represent our relationship.
The Path of Positivity Challenge blog offers monthly Anything Goes challenges that ask for projects that are positive, encouraging and inspiring. A Twist is also offered and this month the Twist has been Friendship. So whether you create a card for your BFF, or a canvas that a friend will love to hang on his or her wall, link it up to the main challenge blog for your chance to win prizes from the guest sponsors:
A $12.00 gift certificate from Bugaboo Stamps, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Friendship on the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog
What could be better than wandering down the path of positivity? Wandering with a friend, of course! This month the optional Twist to the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog's Anything Goes theme is FRIENDSHIP. Make your bestie a card that celebrates your relationship. Of course, the Twist is just for fun. As long as your project is positive, encouraging or affirming, it will qualify for this month's prizes!
I made a card for my bestie. I think the second line would describe her more than the first, but who's keeping track? Although I do wonder...Do I attract crazies, or do I make them that way?? LOL No matter, we get along just fine whichever way it is!
For my card I used a digi image from one of our guest sponsors, Bugaboo Stamps.
The image is called "Make It Snappy - Friends." Really, all I could have done is colored the image and adhered it to a card base and be done with it. But then again, that's not quite my style. So out came my container of metals, and I found a piece of chain and some girlfriend charms to hang. I think I spent more time getting the chain to stick in all the right places than to color up my image, but I do like the effect!
Prizes for this challenge are as follows:
- A $12.00 gift certificate from Bugaboo Stamps, our guest sponsor for this month, for a person chosen in a random draw based on all qualifying entrants.
- ONE image (value of $5 or less) from Scribbles Designs, for the post or project that the team deems most inspiring of the bunch based on all qualifying entrants.
- One digital image from Creative Bug Digital SnapShots for each person chosen as a DT Delight.

Scribbles Design's Year in Review
It's midway through the last challenge of 2018 at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog. The theme is "Year in Review" and crafters have until January 14th to link their projects at the main challenge blog. If you choose to follow the optional theme, you can pick out any of the 11 previous (2018) challenge themes for your project. This is a win-win opportunity here, as one of those themes is ANYTHING GOES.
I chose to create a card with the May "Make It Masculine" theme. And what a paper, am I right? The paper is called Clockworks and is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. I love this big old pattern of the inner and outer workings of a clock, with all its gears and gizmos. This concept of time can be used in birthday, friendship, even sympathy cards, as well as many other projects.
The image I used for my card is Scribbles Designs' #800 Treasure Chest. I colored my image with colored pencils to get that weathered look just right. Here's where digital and handmade come in: I digitally placed on my paper a couple shapes (heart & star), then printed it. I printed the treasure chest twice so that I could cut out parts of the second image to give it more dimension.
I love using Scribbles Designs' Treasure Chest with the sentiment above: There is no greater Treasure than a Good Friend". What a perfect pairing, right? Since this card is going to a veteran I met at the VA hospital, I kept the design simple.
So that's MY take of the Scribbles Designs Year in Review. Are you going to play along? You have 14 days in which to capture your Muse and shake some inspiration from her (kind of like pixie dust) and link it to the challenge blog. Happy crafting!
And a Happy New Year to you, too!

Finding Friends on the Path of Positivity
This month at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog, we are centering on Friendship. Have you visited the Path of Positivity yet? It is "... a different sort of challenge blog designed to inspire, nurture and provide support for the soul by creating a positive path to follow, one project or post at a time! ALL kinds of projects are welcome, as long as it is positive. We hope you will follow each month's theme, which is general enough to fit most projects. For instance, using this month's theme of Friendship, you can create a get well or thinking of you card; a sympathy card for a friend; even a handmade gift for your BFF.
I created a card this time around to remind you that not all friends walk on two legs. I have several friends whose lives are pretty solitary, except for that BFF who always knows when they're in need of a snuggle or a brisk walk. By the way, BFF here means Best Furry Friend!

My card uses an image from Sparkle N Sprinkle, this month's sponsor. The image is called Paw Prints. My card is for one of the friends I mentioned above. As a special bonus, there is a detachable bookmark with that fun-loving dog on it. My friend not only loves her dog, but also loves to read, so I think she'll love it, don't you?
Let's get to the details of the challenge:
SPONSOR & PRIZE INFORMATION:
Sparkle N Sprinkle is the sole sponsor for the main prizes of this challenge. They are offering up two prizes for this challenge, which will be:- $15.00 worth of digital images for the post or project that the DT deems most inspiring of the bunch.

Let's Be Friends on the Path of Positivity
There's no better way to celebrate a new season than with old friends. This month at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog the theme is FRIENDSHIP, and Sparkle n Sprinkle is the very generous guest sponsor.
I got to play with my favorite couple. The image is called Old Friends, which I colored up with Copics. Then I fussy-cut the image and played with it in Photoshop to create a hybrid card, using all these goodies:
Image: SNS Old Friends
Papers: Decosse’s Dynamite Doodles Twelve Days of
Christmas Gold Star Patterned Paper
& Heartland Blue Glitter Hearts Patterned
Paper; Mischief Circus’ Holliewood Dramatic Backgrounds Paper 8.
Sentiment is a quote from Oprah Winfrey, printed in Draughtsman font.
Do you have a friend who will ride on the bus with you? Send her a card, and don't forget to link up your creation at the Path of Positivity challenge blog for your chance to win some awesome prizes:

Friendship is the Theme at the Outlawz Monday Greetings this week
I like to send my friends a card out of the blue-- not for any occasion, just to let them know I am thinking of them. So I was really happy to choose this week's theme over at the Outlawz Monday Greetings challenge. Create with the theme of Friendship in your projects and link up for your chance to win digi images from two generous sponsors:
and
Today I created a card for my girlfriend and neighbor, Sue. I just went to see the movie "Florence Foster Jenkins." It was hilarious. Anyway, I colored up a digi image from The East Wind called "Untitled." Gathering up my leftover pieces of patterned papers, I used color blocking in my design. My sentiment was a rubber stamp I've had forever.
Although she lives just two blocks down the street, I'm mailing my card, because lt's face it, people like to get snail mail! LOL
Okay, you have the theme (friendship), the deadline (end of week) and the motivation (digi images from the sponsors' stores). Let's see what you create this week over at the Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge.
