Anything Goes w/Optional Twist "In the Garden" at Ike's World Challenges

Welcome to the midway point of this fortnight's Ike's World Challenges Anything Goes challenge. The OPTIONAL twist this time is In the Garden. While Ike has some lovely flower images in her store, I am not a big fan of flowers. I love to look at them...from afar. I have allergies to most flowers, and I believe I might just have subconscious allergies to faux flowers.
So when I think Garden, I think lovely lettuce, rosy radishes, juicy tomatoes and plump pumpkins. I found the perfect sentiment to go with my Copic-colored image. It reads:
"One of the most delightful things a bout a garden
is the anticipation it provides."
My card paints a picture of the anticipation I feel when planting and taking care of my vegetable garden. This year I am expanding mine and can't wait to turn the earth to make ready for my dreams. But enough daydreaming! You have until Sunday evening to link up your creation, which can be ANYTHING, for your chance to win free digis from the Store!

Going Digital!

I have been playing in Photoshop and am slowly but surely getting my photos off the computer and onto layouts (yay, me). Here is my latest page, featuring my newest grandson, Jonathan.
For this layout, I used the Never Forget Kit from Studio Basic Designs, as well as elements from Pixel Scrappers Pauline Thompson and Janet Scott.

Midway through the Mason Jar Challenge at Scribbles Designs

We are now halfway into the newest challenge at Scribbles Designs. Mason jars are really popular right now, so we want to see them on your projects. I'm already thinking Halloween so I filled my Mason Jar (a digi image from Scribbles Designs) with the flying mascot of this fun holiday, bats. And of course, I used another Scribbles Designs' image called Batty.
You have until the 14th to link up your own mason jar-inspired project for your chance to win free digis. Happy crafting, y'all!

TIC TAC TOE at the Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge

Good morning, crafters! This week the Outlawz Greetings challenge asks us to choose a line from this TIC TAC TOE grid:
I used the line asking for Stitches, Image & Red to create my DT card today.
I got to play with a digital image from Dr. Digi called Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dunderton. Dr Digi is one of two sponsors at the Outlawz Monday challenge this week, offering up 2 digis as the prize.
The other sponsor is Angie's Cards and Digis, offering 3 digis as prize.
Back to my card, I created an easel card. It is my go-to card design choice. Easy to make, fun to embellish and packs a punch for a punchline sentiment:
I created my card with my daughter in mind. She has arachnophobia, a fear of spiders. Although she would be more like a runner, as in AWAY from the eight-legged nasty.I don't like spiders myself, but it's nothing to her fear.
Now don't you be afraid to check out the Outlawz Monday Greetings challenge this week. Two sponsors means twice the odds of being a winner, but only if you link up your card or project. Don't forget to add a sentiment or greeting, AND choose a line on the Tic Tac Toe grid.
And as always, crafters, have FUN!

Just What the Doctor Ordered at the Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge

Now that we are in full swing with winter temps, there have been lots of calls in from parents saying their kids won't be in class because they're sick. So I decided that now would be a good time to create a few get well cards..
And just in time for the Outlawz Monday Greetings challenge starting today!! The guest sponsor this week is Di's Digi Stamps, and I got to play with this pre-colored digi image called Get Well Mice. I printed it three times, cutting the image out to build up a few layers for dimension.
In keeping with my promise to use up my stash, I pulled embossed,  machine-stitched and patterned papers to complete my card. What do you do with the leftovers from a project? If you keep pieces of paper, how small do they have to be to chuck them? I have a definite problem getting rid of the smallest strips and squares of paper!Maybe if I used some guidelines, I could control the urge to save every last bit of paper left over on my desk when the day is  done!
Well, how ever you control the stash dilemna, I hope you get time to create something this week. And I hope I see it over at the Outlawz Monday Greetings challenge! Have fun, crafters!

Welcome, Winter!

This week brings another challenge to the Outlawz Monday Greetings group. Today the Dt is shooing off their stitching. Of course, if you're like me, and don't sew, you can still enter the challenge with "faux" stitches somewhere on your project. Where did those lovely REAL stitches come from on my card? I snagged a handful of card faces with stitching on it from another member of the DT, Linda Weber. She is sew talented! LOL
This week's sponsors are Bugaboo and A Day for Daisies. My image, called Blustery Day, is from A Day for Daisies. One of my favorite techniques is ripping paper. There's something about a torn edge that I love. So much so that I tore both the image and the patterned paper on my card!
The image looks vintage to me, so I went with a sentiment and font that looks the same. It reads: Winter arrives with bluster and snow, And brings to our cheeks a rosy glow
I hope you get a chance to join our challenge this week!

Outlawz Greeting Card Challenge

Hello, crafters!  Today I have a card that I am entering into the Outlawz Mondat Greeting Card Challenge.  This week's challenge is to use stitches on your card, whether they are sewn, drawn, or stamped or otherwise crafted!
In the photo, it looks like I sewed onto the card base, but I used a CTMH stamp set and Archival Black ink to make my stitches.  I colored my image (found in a spare parts box, please help me identify the company) with a combo of Copics and Spectrum Noir markers, then cut him out and framed him in black.  I punched tiny hearts for embellishments, highlighting them with white gel pen.  My sentiment is stamped, smudged and faux stitched!
Since I have three new grandsons, I am one card closer to having their cards finished by next week!!
Have you checked out Outlawz yet?  There are some great challenges there, and lots of inspiration.  Go on and wrangle yourself a project to show off!!
