Bella Gift Card/Treat Boxes

Here's a quick kit I made today. The boxes are diecut and a RAK froma scrapping friend. The image is SurpriseaBella cut into a circle with my trusty 1-1/2" circle punch. I framed her, colored her with Copics, and stuffed the box with primas and flowers. I put ribbon around the box, I don't know the brand, got the roll at a rummage sale. There are four diecuts and images with the one handmade box to make a nice little kit.
I don't know about the New Year, but I'm going out with a creativity BANG with all the time off I've enjoyed! and I'm loving it!

My Coffee Tree Card

The card on the left is a mix of Stamp Sets. I used the tree from ther Limitless Limbs set from Pink Cat Studios, and the cups, coffee beans and sentiment are from Stampin Up "Espresso Yourself" stamp set.

I colored the image with my Copics, which posed a challenge. I had never used them on glossy paper before and boy howdy is it different! I blinged the images with CTMH Liquid Glass for the "pot" and the beans and Stickles for the cups. I also adhered the cups onto the limbs by first putting the cups flat onto the limbs and using a black fine tip marker to draw in the part of the limbs being covered up. Then I used dimensional dots and lined them up again.

To make the tree seem planted in the coffee cup, I used a swivel blade to cut out the line where the trunk falls into the cup. The sentiment didn't fit into my frame so I cut apart the words and adhered them to fit.

I love the way my camera's flash put the 3D shadows onto the background. My good friend Linda W. sewed some card fronts for me and I used one here to frame the whole thing.

A Note ABout the Stamp Below

I have discovered that the stamnped image I used in the post below is from Whiff of Joy and is called Melinda Helping Angel. I love this stamp, as well as Melinda Reading and Melinda Blowing Kisses!
Back to work today, but I managed to squeeze out one more project. This is a card I made, along with a card kit, all the materials needed to make the same card (colors vary). Again, the image was sent to me and I don't know who designs it. I love this little girl, so I'm going to have to go surfing on the internet to find it!

One More Project

Oh, it felt so good to relax and spend most of the day in my craft room. I cleaned off my desk, finished the cards I needed for a swap, and put together some PIFs,
One project I'm trying to complete before Saturday is the Sweetheart Partner Swap. I need to package up items for my partner on LuckyBug. Each item has to start with a letter in the word "sweetheart". This is the item for the letter "A", an Altered Notebook.
I loe the image, but don't know what stamp company it's from. I receive several images with no identification, and I know this is from a popular series. Anyone know it?

Altered Matchboxes

I love these tiny altered boxes, and you can really pack them full of small embellies like jewels and Skittles and flowers and eyelets and brads. There are three already altered and one box is ready to be made into a tiny treasure chest.

Quilt-a-Card Card Kit with Handmade card

Okay, so I'm not a sewer or quilter, so this card is not sewn, but as you can see, you can make any type of cards with this kit. I used Basic Grey for the patterned paper and stuck the cup on with dimensional dots. I hand drew the steam rising from the cup and added Copper Stickles to make it a little blingy. The heart is a leftover 3D sticker. You can't see it very well, but I used VersaMark ink from SU for some subtle backgrounding. You can stamp any sentiment on the inside.

I have a huge mess to clean up. We had Christmas dinner with the whole family, and since everything ran late, we left a mess in the kitchen, as well as the basement. Hubby is in charge of the basement, and he's almost finished. I have another dishwasher load ready to go, and I need to take the leaf out of the table so people can actually move around in the kitchen!

Next holiday, New Year's Eve. We're having company in, since we have Bella overnight. Nothing like a full house to ring in the New Year!

Here's a card I just made for a Birthday card swap on LuckyBug Yahoo Group. The image is SurpriseaBella, the words inside and out are unknown from a RAK I received from a fellow crafter. The patterned paper is Basic Grey, and I colored Bella with my new COpics. I glitzed her up a bit with both Liquid Glass from CTMH and colored Stickles.

The card below is for Scrapbook Place. I made this 6x6 card using Paper Adventures cardstock, while the patterned paper is leftover from other crafting projects. Bella is of course the centerpiece, colored with Copics and glitzed with Liquid Glass and Stickles. It comes with enough paper and supplies to make four more 6x6 Birthday cards and I'm offering it as a Card Kit PIF. The inside sentiment reads: "May your birthday be as special as you are"

That's all the time I have for crafting. I'm expecting 10 people over to our house for a belated Christmas dinner. Turkey's in the oven, granddaughter is screeching upstairs, which means she wants grandma, her daddy is sick with a cold so is halfheartedly watching her, and the power has gone out here twice today.

Volunteers are sandbagging the river due to all the snow we've had has almost melted. It's in the high fifties here in Chicago, and it has been raining all night and day. We're higher than a lot of hte suburb I live in, so as long as we have power, our sump pump will keep out the water, but some folks live closer to the river and they flood every year, just not very many times in December!!

Weird, weather, huh?! Well, I better baste the turkey and check my list. Happy Holidays!
