Finding Flowers at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog

This month the optional theme over at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog is FLOWERS!
My DT card today features both image and paper from the Scribbles Designs. store. The image is called F21 Daisy, and pssst it's a FREEBIE. The digital paper is also from Scribbles Designs and it's called Flower 3 Patterned Paper. After printing out the paper and framed sentiment twice, I popped the second sentiment onto the first with dimensional tape. I decided to highlight the sentiment on my card today, using the Daisy image to embellish around the framed sentiment. A few jewels make the center of my daisies sparkle.

I have a neighbor who prides herself on her beautiful flower and herb garden. Every summer her front yard is blooming with color and smells wonderful. I swear she has ten green fingers instead of one green thumb! This card is for her, as she has helped me the last couple of years with my vegetable garden. She's the best kind of neighbor to have - a good friend!
So now it's your turn to creating and linking a project to Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog for your chance to win free digis from the store. Good luck and happy crafting!

Polkadoodles Sponsors Your Scrapbook Place

When my daughter was in grade school, she started taking violin lessons. She was good at it. I wish she had continued with orchestra, but by the time she graduated 8th grade there was no longer a violin in the house and no one to play it.
So when I saw this image from Polkadoodles called Violin Girl, I was inspired to create this card while taking a trip down memory lane. Polkadoodles is the guest sponsor at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge blog.
For your chance to win the prize from Polkadoodles this month, create a project (theme is always ANYTHING GOES). Don't forget to link it up to the challenge blog. Have fun and happy crafting!

Your Scrapbook Place Marches on with Paper Nest Dolls

Welcome to a new month and a new challenge at Your Scrapbook Place challenge blog. It's always Anything Goes, and this month the guest sponsor is Paper Nest Dolls. I got to create with a pretty image called Amara with Lily.
After digitally coloring her, I popped her onto a photograph I took in my backyard. A monarch butterfly decided to "hang out" for a little snack in our flower garden, so I grabbed my camera and got a few nice photos.
The bow is from Pixel Scrappers, and the font I use is called Papyrus.
What will you create this month? Whatever you do, have fun! And don't forget to link it  up at Your Scrapbook Place!!

Paper Nest Dolls Sponsors Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog

This month Paper Nest Dolls is sponsoring the challenge at Your Scrapbook  Place and the theme is always ANYTHING GOES.  You will receive an extra entry if you use any Paper Nest Doll's images on your creation. You can check out all of their beautiful images, both stamps and digi stamps, by clicking below.

As a DT member, I got to play with this cutie of a digi,  Amara with Lily. Right now, we are enjoying an early Spring day - temps reached 62 degrees F - in Chicago!  Three days ago the high was in the 30's. Go figure. But I'm not complaining. In fact, the weather inspired me to create this card. The background is a photo I took in my front yard last summer.

Hope you have time to link up your card at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog this month! Happy crafting and good luck!

Sheepski Designs is First Sponsor of 2018 for Your Scrapbook Place

Happy New Year! I am finally used to writing 2018 on my correspondence - not bad after only 15 days. And if it's January 15th, it must be midway through a new challenge at Your Scrapbook Place.
This month, the guest sponsor is Sheepski Designs.
I got to play with this cute image called Valentine - Image #64.. After coloring my image, I placed it onto a scenic photo. Doesn't it look like they were made to be there? I had to find the right sentiment for my friends' anniversary this month, one that matched the two young lovers. I think I found it:
My card reads:
"If I had my life to live over again, I would find you sooner so I could love you longer."

My papers are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles: Purple textured paper from her Glitterati 1 Paper Kit and Patterned Paper 1 from her Bokeh Multi-color 1 Paper Set. My embellishments are from Pixel Scrappers Janet Scott and Sharon Dewi Stolp.

Did you know, if you use a Sheepski Designs image, you get TWO entries into the random draw for this month's sponsored prize? The challenge is ANYTHING GOES, but you've gotta be in it to win it!

Happy crafting, and good luck!

Victorian CHristmas at Ike's World Challenge Blog

Merry Christmas from Ike's World Challenge Blog! The newest challenge is at its midway point, and its theme is a "Victorian Christmas." No, the thee is always optional, and as you can see, I took the Anything Goes route and arrived at the digital card above. Since my blog background is white. the card base did NOT show, but it does have a white cardstock background, and prints up nicely for perfectly flat, one postage stamp mailing. As you can see, it also looks great on a computer. Since my sister lives in Berlin, mailing even a letter is expensive from the States. She isn't coming home for Christmas, so I'm sending her this card electronically. In fact, I send her digital cards frequently. I miss her a lot.
Anyway, my card features:
Ike's Art Images: Kitten Kristmas
Papers: Decosse's Dynamite Doodles Ornament 2, December Delights Paper Kit
& Gold, Glitterati 1 Paper Kit
Digital Elements: Pixel Scrapper Melo Vrijhof's Scatter, Christmas Day Set

Whether you create with a Victorian Christmas in mind, or have other ideas in mind, link your creation (anything goes) to Ike's World Challenge Blog for a chance to win a sweet girt certificate to the Ike's Art Store!

Good Luck and Happy crafting! And Happy Holidays from me to you!

Finding Faith, Hope & Love at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog

Welcome back, crafters! My girlfriend and her hubby are celebrating their 26th wedding anniversary this month. She loves vintage, so I thought this digital image from Luna Girl would be perfect for the digital papers and elements I chose from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, one of two sponsors this month at the Path of Positivity challenge blog. The optional theme is Faith, Hope and Love, and you certainly need all these to maintain a marriage!
My card uses the following:
Luna Girl Vintage Romance 2 Image 1
Decosse's Dynamite Doodles' Hearts & Swirls pp,
As Time Goes By Cranberry Plaid pp,
Glitterati Gold Glitter Paper,
Mommie Dearest Textured Paper #5,
and Pixel Scrapper A Janner Designs' Cluster Freebie

The challenge theme asks to see wedding, anniversary or engagement cards. Of course, the challenge theme is optional, but in order to have a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a scrapbooking kit from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles, you must incorporate some faith, hope and/or love in your card. Please remember to type in the letters FT after your name when you link your card up so we know you followed the theme. You don't need to follow the optional theme if you simply want to have a chance at the Random Draw prize of three images from Pattie's Creations, another of our guest sponsors this month.

I have FAITH in your creativity. I would LOVE to see what you make, and HOPE to see you link it up for your chance to win this month's prizes. And as always, have fun!

Have a Furry, Fluffy, Feathery & Finny Christmas at 12 Months of Christmas Blog

What would Christmas be like without our furry, fluffy, feathery or finned companions in our lives?! Since Wilson, our rescue Silkie Terrier, came into our lives, I can't imagine Christmas morning without his sniffing around the packages, giving me those sad brown eyes over breakfast, and jumping in excitement from one person to another as presents are unwrapped. Wilson adds an extra helping of joy to our Christmases. That is why the 12 Months of Christmas wants to see Christmas cards that features an animal that one might have as a household pet. Dog lover, cat lover or somewhere in between, what will your focus be?

My digital Christmas card features a digi image from Imagine That! Digis from Kris called Happy Howl-i-days. The sentiment is also from Imagine That Digis. And I couldn't resist popping Wilson in there! I also used the following digital goodies:
Decosse's Dynamite Doodles' It's Ornamental Paper Kit Green Balls PP and A Grungy Christmas Green & Burgundy Textured papers; Snow Much Fun Glitter Snowflakes Kit Red Snowflake

Sometimes I like to send Christmas cards via email to my international friends who live in Australia, Canada, Greece, Germany and elsewhere. Sometimes I like to print them up and send them to my neighbors, just to remind them that we are all part of a community.

So, In order to have a chance this month to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor, Imagine That! Digis by Kris, make sure that your Christmas card has an image of a household pet as the focal point (cat, dog, bird, mouse, rabbit, hedgehog, ferret, fish, turtle, etc.) If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that you are included in the draw for this month's sponsored prize prize of a $10 gift certificate to the Imagine That! Digistamp store.

As always, you don't need to follow the theme to earn a free paper each month from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, and have your name thrown into the year-end draw for some extra digital goodies.

Whatever you choose, however you craft, just have fun knowing that when the Christmas season rolls around, your stash of cards will be ready to mail and give out!! No stress, no worry, no running to the store. Done and done!

Happy Crafting!

Anything Goes w/OPTIONAL Theme of "The Road Ahead"

Welcome to a brand New Year. With this beginning come changes, like at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog. This year every month is ANYTHING Positive or Affirming GOES, sometimes with an Optional theme. To start the New Year off, the first challenge has the OPTIONAL theme of "The Road Ahead."
There are two sponsors in January - Scribbles Designs
AND
Today I created a digital card using Scribbles Designs images: #953 Pull Trailer, Carl & Sun (freebie). I colored the image and squeezed photos of my grandchildren into the windows (the car is free clipart). Then I popped the whole thing onto scenic paper. Scribbles image "Carl" is hitching a ride on the wheel bumper, and Scribbles image "Sun" gives the effect of both a cloudy day and a sunny one.
That's what life is full of, both cloudy days and sunny ones. How we spend those days will predict whether this new year is one filled with happy memories and fun adventures, or "just another trip around the sun." I hope your New Year is filled with happiness!!
Card created with:
Scribbles digital images: #953 Pull Trailer, Carl & Sun
Papers from: Pixel Scrapper Brooke Gazarek's Enchanted Green and Doll House Krysty's Scrap Designs Scenic Paper 8
Element: Pixel Scrapper Karry Dempsey's Dirty McFilthy Flower 3
Font: Draughtsman & LD Handwritten Greetings
I hope you'll choose the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog to create and link up a card or project this month.
Prizes offered:
In order to be considered eligible for this month's prizes, ALL creations must be positive, inspirational, motivational or encouraging in some nature.

Giving Thanks at Ike's World Challenge Blog

Here in Chicago, we are balanced on the precipice where Autumn's warm days and cool nights are about to shift to cold days and longer, colder nights. And as the seasons start their shifts, I like to pause, look around and really appreciate everything in my life.
There have been a lot of changes this year. My husband's health has deteriorated with the confirmation of his ALS diagnosis. We both lost our jobs and family health insurance. But...
I am thankful for these things which have produced so much good in our lives:
Because Bill was diagnosed with a terminal illness, he receives government disability as well as VA compensation for a 100% service-connected disability.
Because of the compensation, we get to keep our house.
Because of a federal Veteran's Grant, construction is underway to make our house handicapped- accessible.
As veterans with no earned income, we are entitled to free healthcare and equipment such as wheelchairs, braces, glasses and such.
Because I lost my job, I now have the time to take care of Bill, driving him to doctor appointments, running errands and sharing in his bucket list of things he would like to accomplish or do before he can't.
There are just so many blessings for which I am thankful. Family, friends, a car, our new rescue dog, Wilson; my five senses which gives me the ability to see the changes in the season, to hear with delight my newest grandson's first words (uh-oh seems to be popular right now), to taste and smell the food which is also a gift and to touch the comfort around me.
The list is endless, but what I am most thankful for is the gift of 40 years of marriage to my hubby, to be enjoyed more deeply as the rest of time goes by.
I created my card to show how much our rescue dog has changed our lives in a good way. He always seems to know when we need an extra snuggle, and is so excited when we come home from a shopping trip or the show. The Ike's Art image is called Pooch with Leaf.
What are you thankful for?
Whatever it is, you can be thankful that Ike's World Challenge Blog offers the theme of Thanksgiving, where you can link your creative project and get your chance to win some awesome digital images.
Finally, thank you for visiting my blog today! Happy crafting!

Animal Antics at the Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge and a Halloween Freebie From Me to You

This week's challenge at the Outlawz Monday Greetings is all about Animals, and has not one but TWO sponsors from whom participants can win prizes, Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

AND
Crafty Sentiments
My card above uses some goodies from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles: Kitty Curiosity Brown Patterned Paper, Grungy Christmas Red Textured Paper, Colors of the Rainbow Wine Textured Paper, Taste of Summer Floral 1, Mommie Dearest Button 1. I decided to let the sweet kitty on the paper take the stage, using a sentiment to bring it to life on my card. By the way, I am severely allergic to cats, so I can only enjoy them when they're on paper (yes, pity me). On a good note, I am less allergic to dogs, and a happy owner of a Silkie Terrier (no fur, just hair) named Wilson.
The card below uses an image from Crafty Sentiments called Couples.
I created an anniversary card for our neighbors. Like hubby and myself, they have a Fall anniversary.
You have a week to create a project using animals prominently. Don't forget to use a sentient or greeting. After all, that's the name of the challenge! LOL Whatever you create, have fun!

Here is another Halloween Paper I created. Resources include Pixel Scrappers: Janet Scott’s Plastic Spider Toy & Toolbox Calendar Template #182; Elif Sahin’s Bootiful Googly Eyes Up & Left; Brooke Gazarek’s Skeleton; Melo Vrijhof’s Jane Torn Paper Lace Stacked Frame (pixelscrapper.com)

Midway through the Mason Jar Challenge at Scribbles Designs

We are now halfway into the newest challenge at Scribbles Designs. Mason jars are really popular right now, so we want to see them on your projects. I'm already thinking Halloween so I filled my Mason Jar (a digi image from Scribbles Designs) with the flying mascot of this fun holiday, bats. And of course, I used another Scribbles Designs' image called Batty.
You have until the 14th to link up your own mason jar-inspired project for your chance to win free digis. Happy crafting, y'all!

A Blooming Challenge at Scribbles Design Challenge Blog

Scribbles Designs challenge blog wants to know "how your garden grows." This is an open-ended challenge (vegetables, herbs, flowers, weeds? LOL).
I got to play with a Scribbles Designs’ digi image called Heart Tulips.
After designing my card, I framed it with Decosse's Dynamite Doodles' Glitterati Paper Kit in Blue
Elements used in my digital card are:
Pixel Scrapper Janet Scott’s Winter Woodland Wood Journal Card & Reflections of Strength Blue Pearl; Pixel Scrapper Amanda Brown’s Waiting to Bloom Flower; Pixel Scrapper Sharon Reid’s Shine Teal & Gold Butterfly.
The font I used is called Leathery Soft.
Any type of projects are welcome at Scribbles Designs challenge blog as long as you follow the theme. Let's see what grows in your garden this fortnight!

Silver & Gold at the 12 Months of Christmas Link-Up Blog

Hey, crafters, I have a question for you---
Have you started your Christmas card-making yet? We have almost reached the halfway mark until Christmas! If you need a little inspiration and a little motivation, take a look at what I created today for the 12 Months of Christmas Link-Up blog.
Here is what went into my newest Christmas card:
Lunagirl "Christmas Angels" Sheet, one of 13 different images
Decosse's Dynamite Doodles Snowflakes Paper from "An Eclectic Christmas 1: Silver & Gold" and Gold Glitter Paper from "Glitterati" Paper Packs
Pixel Scrapper Janet Scott's "Christmas Day Glitter Dot Swirl"
Pixel Scrapper Karry Dempsey's "Thank Heaven for Little Boys" Star 2
Pixel Scrapper Marisa Lerin's "Christmas Day" Flower 165
Sonoma Script font

This month's guest sponsor is Lunagirl.com They offer several hundred unique digital collage sheets and dozens of themed craft CDs. They are a great resource for card making, scrapbooking, jewelry making, and much more! They are easy to use, carefully researched and curated, all thoughtfully organized and lovingly cleaned up, and ready to use in your projects, just like I used an image from one of their sheets on my newest Christmas card.
In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month, make sure that you use a combination of BOTH silver AND gold somewhere on your card. Whether you choose to use these colours in your image or your paper or choose to use silver or gold embellishments, it is completely up to you. If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize.
Remember, you don't need to follow the theme to link up your cards at the 12 Months of Christmas blog and earn a free paper each month, and have your name thrown into the year end draw for some extra digital goodies. You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a $15.00 gift card from Lunagirl.

Decosse's Dynamite Doodles Sponsors the Outlawz Monday Greetings Challenge

Good morning, crafters! It's finally Spring in the Midwestern United States. I have to admit that I didn't believe we would ever get to the point at which we arrived regarding the weather. April saw not only rain showers but snow showers. There were days when the weather would flip-flop from sunny and breezy to blizzard-worthy snows, often changing within five minutes of each other!
But it has arrived in all its colorful glory, which fits perfectly with the Outlawz Monday Greetings challenge theme of "Spring Has Sprung" and my sentiment. One of our sponsors this week is Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, and I can thank Lisa Decosse for her help in my newest crafting venture, digital art. I have used Adobe Photoshop and had a lovely time creating this digital card using papers and elements from the following sets:

The wonderful thing about digital elements and papers is that you don'y have to create a project digitally! You can print out the elements and papers just as you would digital images. My card is 100% digital, but I have the most fun with hybrid cards that use both hand-colored and crafted parts with digital elements. If you haven't tried this art form, check out Lisa's freebies and have fun crafting!!
Our other sponsor is Di's Digi Stamps, whose digi image Daffodil Hedgehogs, is featured on my card below.
I decided to create a Thank You card in a Spring theme. Everyone could use Thank You cards, and my neighbor will be receiving this one with a gift to brighten her day, just like she brightened my day last month. After coloring my image with Copics, I used my Epic Six and Nestabilities die to frame it. I embellished simply because I want to mail it to my neighbor and chunky cards are expensive! LOL
Happy crafting, peeps! Don't forget to link your Spring Has Sprung project or card at the Outlawz Greetings challenge this week!

Sing Us a Song at Ike's World Challenge Blog

When I craft, I like to listen to Pandora or my iPod. Music stirs my muse, so what better theme to offer at Ike's World Challenge blog than one inspired by a song? I created a digital birthday card using an Ike's Art digi image called Magician's Hat Bunny. While my sentiment wishes the recipient a magical birthday, inside it reads: "Or do you wish you could make your birthday disappear!"
The song that inspired my card today is a little ditty called "Do You Believe in Magic?"
The song has been remixed and revamped, but here's the original by the Lovin' Spoonfuls from 1965:
What's on your playlist when you craft? Sing us a song at Ike's World Challenge  blog and link up your art for a chance to win free digis.
Rock on, crafters!

Skipping Gracefully Down the Path of Positivity

Greetings, crafters! We have reached the midway point of the challenge at the Path of Positivity. You still have two weeks left to create with the theme of GRACE and link up your projects. When I think of Grace, I think most often of all that God has given me. I am graced with a family, a home, creativity, courage and generosity. I have so much to be thankful for, that the best way to show my gratitude is to live my life using the gifts he gave me, and sharing them with others.
I created a digital card today, using an image from one of our sponsors, Pickled Potpourri Designs, called Hearts Forever. Papers and elements came from another sponsor this month, Decosse's Dynamite Doodles: Colors of the Rainbow Kit, patterned paper Sea; Glitterati Paper Pack, Purple Glitter paper; Mommie Dearest Collection: Doilies Pack, Doily 9, Textured Paper 7; Grab Bag 1 Accessories pack, Staple 1.

What does Grace make you think about? Create with that thought and join us this month. There are some awesome pries to win:

Anything Goes at Craft Your Passion

Another Monday, another new challenge from Craft Your Passion. The challenges are always Anything Goes, so the sky's the limit. For my DT make, I had fun playing in Adobe Photoshop, where I created this 100% digital card. Now that my sister lives overseas, the postage to send a handmade card, especially the chunky ones I so love to make, is exorbitant!
Enter the digital card, which can be attached to an email. Believe me, creating a digital card takes as much time as making a paper-crafted card. But now my sister gets a card a week, every time I email her.
My card uses a digital image from this week's sponsor, Lacy Sunshine. The image is called Marguerite Daisy Flower from the Pot Pretties Collection. Isn't she sweet? My granddaughter would be ecstatic if there were a whole world of flower fairies that she could visit with. I colored her in Photoshop, then placed her onto a background scenery paper from the Boring Evening Collection from Krysty Scrap Designs. After framing my card face with papers from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, I added a few elements to embellish my card, then added my sentiment.
Come join us in our newest Anything Goes challenge at Craft Your Passion.
Challenges I am Entering:
2 Crafty Girls - Anything Goes
4 Crafty Chicks - Make a Scene
Cards 4 Galz - Springtime
Crafting with an Attitude - Anything Goes
Digitally Sweet challenges - Fantasy (flower fairy)
