Kindness Shared at Ike's World Challenge Blog

Today marks the midway point of the Bunch of Kindness Challenge at Ike's World Challenge Blog. A very simple way I show kindness to my friends is to surprise them with a coffee (or tea or Diet Coke) and a visit when they're least expecting one. It's like a hug in a cup!
I also extend this kindness to strangers when I'm in a drive-through. If I have some spare change, I pay the bill for the car behind me. It makes my day to be able to share this random act of kindness. It brings a smile to my face, as well as the cashier and the driver behind me. What a great way to start the day, huh?
Today I had no time to craft, except on my computer. So I created this digital card for my new neighbor. She's a coffee drinker, and loves when I bring our dog Wilson for a visit.
I colored a digi image called Paper Coffee Cup from Ike's new store. This month Ike is having a Summer Blowout Sale. You won't want to miss it - lots of images at 50% off!!
Here's what went into my digital card:
Pixel Scrappers: Pauline Thompson’s Eroded Hues Glitter, Brishti Pearls 1 & 2, SLSB Brad 2, Curly Ribbons 2 & 6;  Marisa Lerin’s Stars in your Eyes Printed Edge.
Decosse's Dynamite Doodles: A Grungy Christmas Purple Textured paper
Patacake’sPages: Rainbow Paper from Pixel Scrapper Blog Train Free Mini Kit

How do you show kindness to others? A bunch of flowers, a phone call, a "Thinking of You" card - create something that shows a "Bunch of Kindness" and link it to Ike's World Challenge Blog for your chance to win free digis from Ike's Store.

Midway at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog

Today I created a card using an image from Ike's Art called Husky. This month Ike's Art is sponsoring the anything goes challenge at Your Scrapbook place. Today is the midpoint of the challenge.
Once I colored my Husky with my trusty Copics, I fussy-cut it and placed it onto my dry embossed cardstock. I used VersaMark ink and white embossing powder around the edges before adhering it all to my card base. Using a black marker to ink the edge of that base, I made an "oops" at the top - a nasty black "oops". So I cut out and added a few hearts, the topmost one covering my mistake.
Where will your Muse take you this month? Wherever you go, whatever you create, don't forget to link your project with your Scrapbook Place challenge Blog. And don't forget the double bonus at SBP: you get twice the chances of winning the random draw of prizes, AND you can also visit Ike's World Challenge Blog and enter there for a chance to win free digis. You can find Ike's Art Freebies HERE and on Facebook HERE.

Use Your Noodle to Doodle at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog

Last year when my husband was diagnosed with ALS, we joined an ALS support group. We became very close to one of the couples, and the wife and I started emailing, texting and phoning each other with our worries, fears, discoveries and experiences. We could vent to each other about our feelings at being our husbands caretakers, knowing that each would understand that we while we may complain, whine and begrudge the time and effort, we are at ease in knowing that we won't be judged by the other. She knows how much I love my husband and would go to the ends of the earth for his comfort, just as much as I know she would do the same.
This month Bill and I go to her husband's funeral. I created this sympathy card with the love and understanding I feel for my friend who bravely fought by her husband's side, battling this incurable disease.
I have been lucky to have witnessed several shooting stars in my life. I thought this digi image from the Scribbles Store was the perfect image to show my friend that her crushing grief will pass, just as a shooting star passes across the sky. I printed and then embossed the image, called Shooting Star, then doodled a border around the edge. This fulfills the challenge theme this month to "Doodle with your Noodle" at Scribbles Designs challenge blog.
I also printed out a Gold Glitterati textured paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles before adding some lace, pearls and flower.
Are you fingers constantly doodling? This is the perfect challenge for you! You have a month to use your noodle and doodle up a project - don't forget to link it up at Scribbles Designs challenge blog for your chance to win free digis from the store!! Good luck and happy crafting!

Time to Relax at Ike's World Challenge Blog

What do you do to relax? Besides, craft, that is?! I like to lose myself in a book. I like to read science fiction/fantasy, as well as themed mysteries like Joanne Fluke's Hannah Swenson mysteries.

One of my favorite authors is Charlaine Harris, whose Sookie Stackhouse series spawned the TV show True Blood. Her new series, about the people in the town of Midnight, will be a summer TV show in the States, premiering later this month.

Relaxation is the theme for this fortnight's challenge at Ike's World Challenge Blog, and I ran with my love of reading to create the book bag above using a digi image called Book of Dreams. Ike's Store is celebrating a summer blowout sale and you can get this image for just $1.50 US! The sale lasts through July and there are LOADS of images for 50% off.
Here's a close-up of my colored image on my book bag. I used colored pencils, gel pens and Copics, as well as Stickles for a little sparkle.
You have one more week to create something that shows how you relax and link it up to the IWC challenge post for your chance to win free digis from the new store. While I Keep Calm and Read, you  Keep Calm and Craft On!

Holiday Hoopla at Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog

It's the midway point of the challenge at Scribbles Designs, and their Holiday Hoopla challenge is over the top!
Today I chose to create a Valentine's Day card. I love to change up images, as in using an image for let's say Halloween, and using it on a Valentine's Day card, like mine here.
I used three digi images from Scribbles Designs:
F105- Heart Arrow, Mason Jar and Batty. While the textured paper in the foreground is mine, the background bordering my card is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles' Glitterati Paper Kit. The font is called Crazy Killer.
I am a caregiver for my husband now, so my craft time is very limited. My laptop is always at hand, so I can still create digitally, at least until I find some free time (or take it and run with it).
Back to the challenge at Scribbles Designs - crafters have until the 14th of July to link their holiday (any holiday) cards or projects for their chance to win free digis from
After creating my digital Valentine's Day card, I surfed the Web, looking for different holidays.
WOW! There are tons of "unofficial" holidays all over the world. Check below for  a list of International holidays starting from today midway point through the end of 2017. (I will be skipping July 16- NO THANK YOU) LOL
