Paper Shelter Sponsors Your Scrapbook Place

It's that time of the month to get crafting at Your Scrapbook Place, This month's Anything Goes challenge is at its mid-point, and I thought you might like a little inspiration. My card features a digi image from Paper Shelter, the guest sponsor.
The image, called Hippie Chick, was colored with Copics and gel pens. I used to have a guitar case just like that one, stickers included. This digi sure brings back some good memories! I dug deep into my stash and pulled out a piece of leftover paper with the iconic peace symbol.
You have until the end of the month to create ANYTHING and link it up to Your Scrapbook Place challenge blog. Good luck and happy crafting!

Sheepski Designs Sponsors Your Scrapbook Place

Here comes another Anything Goes challenge at Your Scrapbook Place. This month's guest sponsor is Sheepski Designs, and my DT make today uses a cute image from the store.
I made what I would call a CAS card. I have trouble with them, as I don't like to leave a lot of white space. So I covered half my card with patterned paper, and bordered each side with faux stitching in coordinating colors.
I cut out a plush rug for my kitty to sleep on, nice and cozy. I blinged up my card with a couple strips of adhesive jewels, and added a hand-lettered sentiment. AND managed to leave the rest of the card alone!! CAS cards will never be easy for me, but I'm taking it one step, or rather one card, at a time.
Meanwhile, Sheepski Designs is offering a gift certificate to the store to one random winner. In order to qualify for the prize, you must remember to link your cards to Your Scrapbook Place. You have the whole month, so good luck and happy crafting!

All Dressed Up at Your Scrapbook Place

A new month brings a new challenge at Your Scrapbook Place. The theme is always Anything Goes, and this month the guest sponsor is All Dressed Up. I used a digi image called Time to Celebrate. I think the sentiment is perfect, don't you? BTW, if you get a chance, try some Barefoot Bubbly. My fave cheap champagne to serve at girls' day in. Yum!
My card is filled with die-cuts and jewels. I found a baggie with them in it, as well as the gold and black paper, and ran with it. How about you? Do you have any mystery bags in your craft area? I'm doing a clean-out (again) and am finding all kinds of goodies. You never know what you might have forgotten...
Meanwhile, you have all month to create and link up your project at Your Scrapbook Place for your chance to win prizes from the Guest sponsor, All Dressed Up.

Rick St Dennis Sponsors Your Srapbook Place

Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog has a new Anything Goes challenge this month. My DT make today today features an image from Rick St.Dennis, their guest sponsor.
I love his images, which run from the cute and quirky to the dark and delicious. This image is called Lady of the Roses. I colored her with a combination of Copics and gel pens. I popped her onto paper left over from another project (she fit perfectly into one of the patterned blocks), cutting out and adding some pieces from more leftovers to add some dimension to "neighboring" blocks, and adding my sentiment (clear sticker) and some jewels for embellishment.

So make sure whatever you craft this month, remember to link up with Your Scrapbook Place Challenge blog for your chance to win a prize from the guest sponsor

Polkadoodles Sponsors Your Scrapbook Place

When my daughter was in grade school, she started taking violin lessons. She was good at it. I wish she had continued with orchestra, but by the time she graduated 8th grade there was no longer a violin in the house and no one to play it.
So when I saw this image from Polkadoodles called Violin Girl, I was inspired to create this card while taking a trip down memory lane. Polkadoodles is the guest sponsor at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge blog.
For your chance to win the prize from Polkadoodles this month, create a project (theme is always ANYTHING GOES). Don't forget to link it up to the challenge blog. Have fun and happy crafting!

Limited Runs Sponsors Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog

This month Limited Runs is guest sponsor at Your Scrapbook Place, and it's always ANYTHING GOES. I used this sweet digi called Birdhouses. I colored it with Copics and fussy-cut it, popping it onto some leftover Christmas paper. A diecut snowflake and bird and a few jewels for some bling and mt card is complete. Oh, the sentiment was part of another piece of Christmas paper.

I have to make lots of cards quickly, as the year is coming to an end. I resolved to deplete my paper stash as much as I could this year. I think I've done a fair job. My pile o' paper is just over a half of what I started with this year, which was easier to do once I stopped buying new papers! LOL

Crafters around the world have until the end of the month to create your cards and projects for a chance to win November's prize from Limited Runs. Just don't forget to link up at Your Scrapbook Place!
Challenge I am Entering:

Anything Goes at Your Scrapbook Place

The month of October is filled with changes in color, texture, temperature and attitude. I always get a little excited when October bursts upon us. The leaves are styling their show stopper colors, dropping a crunchy,  intoxicating path on which to walk. The wind is crisp, promising sunshine but warning us to keep that sweater close by. After the sleepy heat of August and September, I welcome the season of Fall with open arms.
Today I created a Halloween card to celebrate the Muse who hovers over my shoulder with so many ideas I can't keep up with her. I used a digi image from Bugaboo Stamps, the guest sponsor at Your Scrapbook Place. It's called Cupcake Skelekins. There's a whole line of cute little Skelekins at the Bugaboo Store, along with zillions of cute, sassy and whimsical images.
Since the patterned paper I used for the background is so busy, I cut a circle out of cardstock and doodled around my Skelekin to make her pop. Everything I used for my card is from my stash of leftovers. I have enough stash to create for the rest of the year without buying anything except adhesives (but that's no fun, is it?)
The challenge is Anything Goes and crafters have a whole month to create and link up their projects in order to have a chance to win a gift certificate to Bugaboo Stamps Store. Good luck and happy crafting!

Crafty Cardmakers - Ribbon or Lace (ribbon)

Ike's Art Sponsors Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog

Time for a new Anything Goes challenge at Your Scrapbook Place blog. This month's sponsor is the fabulous Ike's Art. Today, my DT make uses a digi image called Coffee Cup 1, from the  "I LUV Coffee" Set at Ike's Art Store.
After digitally coloring the image and printing it twice, I placed the the images onto a little "scene" I digitally made, placing it all onto layers of die-cuts and handmade papers. I finished off my card with a line of jewels and one of satin roses. You can't see it in the photo, but I did use Stickles to shimmer up the steam coming from the coffee. Here are the details of my card:

Image: Ike's Art Coffee Cup 1
Digital Elements: Pixel Scrapper's Janet Scott's Yellow Room Paper from Oh Baby Baby PS June 2014 Blog Train; Sunny Faith Rush's Lacy Floral Border; Tina Shaw's Back to School Flowers; and Sheila Reid's Yellow Polka dot Grunge Paint from Outdoor Adventure Kit.
Card Base: DCWV
Roses: Paper Temptress
Misc. Embellishments from my stash

Anything Goes at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog

Rick St. Dennis is one of my favorite artists, and I was so happy when I discovered that he was sponsoring August's challenge at Your Scrapbook Place. I chose to play with "Morning Goddess True Sexy." I have her in a few different poses as she is one of my favorite characters in Rick's Store. I love that Rick knows that sexy doesn't disappear with age, nor is it weighted down by shape.

As I promised at the beginning of the year, I am still attacking my craft stash. It doesn't look like I made a dent in it, but after using four layers of paper, I know that it is being reduced. I am also getting my supplies more organized, so that I can spend more time on designing and creating and less time looking for the supplies I need!

Your Scrapbook Place offers monthly challenges where the theme is always Anything Goes. So craft with love and link up your project for your chance to win a prize from our very special sponsor, Rick St. Dennis. Have fun!

Sasayaki Glitter Sponsoring Your Scrapbook Place - No Fooling!

Happy Easter, crafters! And for those of you with a touch of the devil in them, Happy April Fools' Day! Today starts a new challenge at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog. One of my favorite Designers is sponsoring this month's challenge - Sasayaki Glitter!
I got to play with this cute image called Ellie the Dancing Elephant. As I am trying to build up my stash of thank you cards, I thought this would make the grade. After coloring Ellie with Copics, I popped her onto a wooden scalloped frame painted with olive green acrylic paint. A scallop die-cut circle frames that, and both go onto patterned papers. I found  my sentiment in my stash (along with everything else this card was created with), and finished the card off with a couple jewels and a sweet butterfly so ellie wouldn't get lonely.
You have all month to create and link up your project at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog, where one lucky winner will receive a prize from this month's sponsor, Sasayaki Glitter.

Good luck and enjoy the day!

Your Scrapbook Place Marches on with Paper Nest Dolls

Welcome to a new month and a new challenge at Your Scrapbook Place challenge blog. It's always Anything Goes, and this month the guest sponsor is Paper Nest Dolls. I got to create with a pretty image called Amara with Lily.
After digitally coloring her, I popped her onto a photograph I took in my backyard. A monarch butterfly decided to "hang out" for a little snack in our flower garden, so I grabbed my camera and got a few nice photos.
The bow is from Pixel Scrappers, and the font I use is called Papyrus.
What will you create this month? Whatever you do, have fun! And don't forget to link it  up at Your Scrapbook Place!!

Paper Nest Dolls Sponsors Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog

This month Paper Nest Dolls is sponsoring the challenge at Your Scrapbook  Place and the theme is always ANYTHING GOES.  You will receive an extra entry if you use any Paper Nest Doll's images on your creation. You can check out all of their beautiful images, both stamps and digi stamps, by clicking below.

As a DT member, I got to play with this cutie of a digi,  Amara with Lily. Right now, we are enjoying an early Spring day - temps reached 62 degrees F - in Chicago!  Three days ago the high was in the 30's. Go figure. But I'm not complaining. In fact, the weather inspired me to create this card. The background is a photo I took in my front yard last summer.

Hope you have time to link up your card at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog this month! Happy crafting and good luck!

Anything Goes at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog

Ah, February, month of bitter cold and sweet love. With Valentine's Day around the corner, I thought I'd better stock up on some cards that show my peeps how much I love them. So today I created a card using a digi image from Scribbles Designs called #943 Dump Truck Wishes.

Sheepski Designs is First Sponsor of 2018 for Your Scrapbook Place

Happy New Year! I am finally used to writing 2018 on my correspondence - not bad after only 15 days. And if it's January 15th, it must be midway through a new challenge at Your Scrapbook Place.
This month, the guest sponsor is Sheepski Designs.
I got to play with this cute image called Valentine - Image #64.. After coloring my image, I placed it onto a scenic photo. Doesn't it look like they were made to be there? I had to find the right sentiment for my friends' anniversary this month, one that matched the two young lovers. I think I found it:
My card reads:
"If I had my life to live over again, I would find you sooner so I could love you longer."

My papers are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles: Purple textured paper from her Glitterati 1 Paper Kit and Patterned Paper 1 from her Bokeh Multi-color 1 Paper Set. My embellishments are from Pixel Scrappers Janet Scott and Sharon Dewi Stolp.

Did you know, if you use a Sheepski Designs image, you get TWO entries into the random draw for this month's sponsored prize? The challenge is ANYTHING GOES, but you've gotta be in it to win it!

Happy crafting, and good luck!

Midway at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge Blog

Today I created a card using an image from Ike's Art called Husky. This month Ike's Art is sponsoring the anything goes challenge at Your Scrapbook place. Today is the midpoint of the challenge.
Once I colored my Husky with my trusty Copics, I fussy-cut it and placed it onto my dry embossed cardstock. I used VersaMark ink and white embossing powder around the edges before adhering it all to my card base. Using a black marker to ink the edge of that base, I made an "oops" at the top - a nasty black "oops". So I cut out and added a few hearts, the topmost one covering my mistake.
Where will your Muse take you this month? Wherever you go, whatever you create, don't forget to link your project with your Scrapbook Place challenge Blog. And don't forget the double bonus at SBP: you get twice the chances of winning the random draw of prizes, AND you can also visit Ike's World Challenge Blog and enter there for a chance to win free digis. You can find Ike's Art Freebies HERE and on Facebook HERE.

Another Card with Sandra Caldwell for Your Scrapbook Place

Just a creative reminder that Your Scrapbook Place has an Anything Goes challenge this month. Sandra Caldwell is the guest sponsor and I used this free image from her Facebook page. I love tearing paper, and it's a good way to use up leftover pieces of patterned papers. I covered my torn-paper background with my Copic-colored image, framing it twice with cardstock. A simple bow and a sentiment finish off my card.
You have until the end of the month to create and link ANYTHING at Your Scrapbook Place for your chance to win!

Moonflower Designs Sponsors Your Scrapbook Place April Challenge

Happy Spring, crafters! Today I created a card for the midway challenge reminder over at Your Scrapbook Place Challenge blog. The theme is Anything Goes, and the sponsor this month is Moonflower Designs.
I got to play with a lovely image called Gina Cupcake from Moonflower Designs.I am always on the lookout for ways with which to use feathers, and today I used one to frame my birthday card. On my (never-ending) goal to use up my stash, I pulled out a couple pieces of patterned paper and cut on the diagonal for a different look. A bit of craft paper frames my card front. I also pulled out my Epic Six and die-cut my Copic-colored image before popping it onto my card.
Do you have a growing stash? It seems that mine keeps growing, but I haven't bought any new paper in months and months. I think I just need to "Let It Go' and toss papers under a certain size. But think of all the lovely ATC's and cute tags I could create with them...
I hope you join us at Your Scrapbook Place challenge blog for a chance to win free digis from our sponsors this month!

Crafty Gals Corner - Die-cuts and/or Punches (Nestabilities Die for image, circle punch for sentiment)

There are also some freebies, so if you snag some and create with them, then link up with Your Scrapbook, you will get not one but TWO chances to win prizes.
I used a freebie from the store to make my birthday card today. Copi-colored I rubbed ink lightly to color in the white space before popping her onto my card face. I used punches to frame my sentiment and to give my card a "wavy" border.
Your Scrapbook Place is offering TWO challenges this month, so get your projects linked up by April 14 for your chance to win! Happy crafting!

Anything Goes with Limited Runs at Your Scrapbook Place

Welcome to a new challenge over at Your Scrapbook Place challenge blog. Our sponsor is Limited Runs, and I colored up this digital image called Birdhouses 5. After fussy-cutting my bird houses, I framed it with a paper doily. I did the same for my sentiment, using bits of leftover doily. Since the patterned paper I used is a tad busy, I embellished simply with a jeweled flourish, as well as a leftover felt-and-jeweled flower. Just a simple card with a simple wish--for Spring!
What will you create this month? Whatever you make, link it up at Your Scrapbook Place for your chance to win awesome prizes from Limited Runs.
