Scribbles Designs Celebrates the Year of the Dog

Chinese New Year may be over, but Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog is whooping it up this month. The Year of the Dog is the new challenge theme, so pull out your tail-wagging images and join the fun.
I created a card using two digi images from the Scribbles Store, #842 Dog House and (freebie) #F 31 Dog Bone (freebie). I plundered my crafting stash and pulled out some vellum paper, a few pieces of cardstock, a bow and some ribbon. My sentiment is printed in Grasshopper font.

Scribbles Designs 5th Birthday Party Blowout

Once u-pond a time, an artist named Sandy Sommerfield made a splash when she introduced Scribbles Designs to the crafting world. That was five years ago, and since then she has spread her legs and leaped much farther than she imagined with her cute digital images. Her family of characters started with Woolley the sheep, Penguin and Carl the frog. You should visit her pad, the Scribbles Store, where almost 1000 images are offered (some of them FREEBIES). 

Right now Scribbles Designs is hosting their 5^th Birthday Party Blowout, with games, freebies, inspiration and prizes. The celebration is un-frog-getable! My DT make today is a birthday card (of course) featuring my personal favorite character, Carl. The image is called Carl Party 2, and is sold individually or as a set with several images and multiple sentiments.

My card uses papers from DCWV and Bo Bunny, Stickers from TCP Studios, a vellum sticker from my stash, and the bow is from Martha Stewart.

I printed Carl out twice, thinking I would make two cards today, but the card looked kind of, well, flat. So I colored and cut out the present from my second image and adhered it to the first one with dimensional tape. The banners (Bo Bunny) also use dimensional tape, and the ribbon is a stray piece from my stash.

LEAF It Up to Squigglefly to Offer a Great Challenge

The challenge theme this week is Leaves, and Squigglefly offers some great new releases this month! I got to play with Cheryl Grant's The All American digi for my card today. I colored her with Copics, then rubbed some sky blue ink into the background.
I placed a beautiful piece of leaf-decorated vellum over my white cardstock, then highlighted a die cut chipboard leaf to hang over both my image and my hand-written sentiment.
Now it's time to leaf you with this bit of advice: Use a Squigglefly image and use leaves somewhere on your project and you could win free digis!!
