Dear Mother Nature, Send Help! Signed, Chicago

Welcome to my Birthday Blowout celebration! From April 1 through April 15, you will see a post each day where followers can win prizes and blog candy. Today I ask you to check out the Outlawz where I am on the DT for their Monday Greetings challenges. Animals is the theme at the Outlawz Greetings challenges this week. One of the guest sponsors this month is Dr. Digi, so when I saw this funny digi image (called Rescue Squad), I knew I had to poke some fun at Mother Nature and her ill-timed return to winter temps that Chicago has...no, not enjoyed...rather, suffered through this Spring. So, I still haven't found what I'm looking for...Spring weather!
 I colored my crack team with Copics, popped them on patterned paper from my bottomless stash of leftover papers, and drummed up the perfect sentiment to go with them: "Springtime Greetings from Chicago (Send Help)."
Besides a few snowflakes and a bow, I colored up a pretty (cold) robin to add salt to the wound (sigh). I shouldn't complain. It is Chicago, after all. I was born and raised here, and chose to return to the Windy City. In my next life, I shall choose more wisely, maybe midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Of course, with my luck, the California coast will sink into the Pacific Ocean. Sometimes a known evil is better than an unknown evil.

    Fabulous card - I love those funny little figures and you coloured them up beautifully. :-D I couldn't get into the Outlawzx site. I tried signing in but it won't take it :-(

    Pat, I belong to the Outlawz and join in all the time on all the challenge. I had already checked out the Monday Greeting Card challenge this week. Such fun cards on there. I hope to join in this week with a card. I love the Sketch challenge best, but the color challenge is right there with it. I like challenges that make me do something different than I normally would. I love using sentiments on cards and I normally have one on them.
    I love your card and understand about looking for Spring It snowed here 2 days last week. Today it is 70 degrees. Yay! I think Spring finally decided to visit us in New Jersey USA. Edwina Brown

    What a fun image. Love the addition of the snowflakes.

    Okay, so to be honest, I don't play over at Outlawz simply because I'm too lazy to sign in and have to figure everything out. Okay maybe not lazy, I just find that it takes too much time.

    However, that being said, I do still support Outlawz in a way that I can. So, I'm going to say I'm partial to the Monday challenges since those are the ones that I sponsor.

    I was thinking what Donna said -- Chicago, Ontario... we are *blessed* NOT with similar weather! So of course this card made me LOL. Thanks for adding to the fun again at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

    Really a nice card! I checked out the Outlawz and the challenge that interest me the most is the Friday - coloring: Fairies. Unless you are a member, you can't see anything except what is listed on the side bar.
